Awards and Recognitions

First Coast Service Options (FCSO) and its proposed subcontractors are committed to meeting the needs of the customers they serve, as evidenced by their customer satisfaction levels and various awards received. Below is a summary of recent awards and recognitions that have been presented to FCSO and its subcontractors:

2006 Certificate of Excellence and Achievement from CMS and IBM for participation in the HIGLAS disaster recovery exercise

2006 Received two Golden Image Awards from the Florida Public Relations Association for the Golden Corral Flu Campaign beneficiary outreach event.

2005 Surveyed its customers using an outside contractor to determine provider and beneficiary satisfaction levels. The most recent survey revealed that 96 percent of respondents said that they were satisfied or very satisfied with FCSO’s performance – that was an increase of two percentage points from 2004.

2005 FCSO continued to implement the Provider Call Center Training Pilot that began in late 2004 and was recognized by CMS for implementing the program nationally. Recognizing the management, trainers and support areas, CMS praised FCSO’s effort across a range of activities, from being a host training site and conducting training sessions, to developing and writing training and content materials.

2005 Implemented the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) and was recognized by CMS for a successful implementation of this very important financial initiative. CMS emphasized the skilled, professional implementation team, and FCSO’s responsiveness in meeting the diverse and continuously evolving needs of the HIGLAS project.

2005 Certificates of Appreciation from CMS for trainer support, training pilot as a control site, and development of Master Core Curriculum, and Part B provider contract center training pilot

2005 Best Practice Award from CMS for provider relations research material organization

2004 NCS Pearson presented FCSO’s 1-800-MEDICARE Call Center in Jacksonville, FL with an Outstanding Performance Award for the months of May and June 2004
