Certifications And Accreditations

Organizational improvement, business process improvement and individual improvement facilitates the continuous improvement embedded in First Coast Service Options’ (FCSO) values necessary to meet customer expectations and achieve competitive advantage. Below is a summary of recent certifications and accreditations that have been presented to FCSO and its subcontractors.

2007 ISO 9001:2000 - Florida attained full ISO registration for Contract administrative services for Government sponsored health care programs. The certification recognizes FCSO as having an affective Quality Management System (QMS) in Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami and Orlando. Prior to full certification, FCSO maintained an ISO registration limited to Medical Review. The full certification demonstrates FCSOs commitment to meeting customer requirements, defining best practices, maximizing operational efficiencies and promotes a continuous improvement environment.

2006 ISO 9001:2000 - Administrative offices in Connecticut attained full ISO registration for Medicare Contracting Services. ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized standard used to evaluate the effectiveness of a company's Quality Management System (QMS). Prior to achieving full certification, FCSO's Connecticut location was ISO 9001:2000 certified for medical review and related business processes. Full compliance means, among other things, that all critical work procedures and processes are now documented, implemented and controlled by the company's QMS.

2006 ISO 9001:2000 - Florida maintained limited scope registration for medical review and related processes.

2004 Awarded accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) (CFMC)
