what we do
our stakeholders

First Coast Service Options (FCSO) embraces a simple value proposition: committed employees take good care of customers, and by doing so, create shareholder value. While we are proud of our accomplishments, we are equally proud that we achieve them in a manner consistent with our values: the right things, the right way.
Everything FCSO does is guided by these values.

The right things: | ||
We provide the very best value possible to our customers. |
|
Good intentions are not enough. Only customers can determine whether service levels are truly meeting their needs. Medicare beneficiaries and providers gave FCSO an impressive 96 percent satisfaction rating in 2005. |

We always look for ways to improve our business processes, our organization and ourselves. |
|
Since gaining ISO 9001:2000 registration in 2001, FCSO has had “ZERO” non-conformances in its medical review and supporting processes, underscoring FCSO’s strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement. |
________________________________________________________
We comply with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. |
|
An audit (2005) found FCSO's Navigator Program is exemplary in almost all aspects of both the basic and more challenging elements expected in a best practices program. In 2007, there were 329 inquiries to the Navigator Program where individuals were either seeking guidance or report a concern to ensure we are doing the right things the right way. |
________________________________________________________
The right way: | ||
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of business ethics. |
|
In 2007, FCSO revised the Code of Business Conduct to provider clearer guidance on business ethics issues employees face. The recent employee survey gave the highest rating to Risk and Compliance, a reflection that employees embrace and understand our values. 93.9% of employees surveyed agreed that FCSO has a reporting process to communicate wrongdoing, unethical behavior or fraud in the workplace. |
________________________________________________________
We treat our customers, our business partners and each other honestly, fairly and with respect. |
|
FCSO employees have always been good community stewards. To that end, FCSO employees contributed over $150,000 to the 2007 United Way campaign, a 17% increase from 2006. |
________________________________________________________
We encourage each other to surface concerns and work together to address them. |
|
According to FCSO’s most recent employee survey, 90 percent of employees responded that they felt comfortable raising compliance issues with leadership. |
